Gerber Australian Bowie (circa 1989) in mint condition in the original box. It is 14-3/4" overall with a 9-1/2" glassbeaded clip blade and a coffin style compressed Hypalon handle with lanyard hole. Brass 1/4" thick handguard. Comes with a full length black cordura sheath with wide belt loop and ALICE clips allow the Bowie to be attached to standard issue military battle dress and harnesses. The Bowie can be worn on a conventional belt or military belt. Made in the USA with over a 1/4" thick (5/16") stainless steel blade. This was the normal production model and was made from about 1989 to 1999. This is the first mint one we have had in about three years, get before it is gone. Knife comes in it’s original orange and white box and it marked Gerber Item No. 5978.
