This is the silver coin that the Texas Rangers law-enforcement agency use to make their badges. Mexico Cinco Pesos, Emperor “Cuauhtemoc”, from 1948 that is 0.900 silver and is in excellent or better condition. The coin comes in a plastic coin cover and with a large (newspaper size) two page article in which a Texas Ranger is interviewed. In the article the Ranger states that this is the coin used and gives a short history of the Rangers and the coin. The coin was only minted two years 1947 and 1948. It is 1-1/2" in diameter and has a good weight. A neat piece of history.
