Buck 185 Buckmaster Lite Survival knife is 12-11/16" overall and near mint. It has not been sharpened. It is marked BUCK 185< U.S.A. PAT. PEND., which means it is an early model before the Patent was issued and may have been made in 1986. It comes with sheath which is also marked PAT. PEND., sharpening stone and leg tie. The solid handle has a series of holes to make the knife lighter and separations for the fingers (finger groves). There are two depressions near the hole on the far left side of the handle as seen in the close up photo that may be cuts in the black soft handle but they are not loose or in anyway coming off the knife. The back side is mint. There are some very small rub marks on the blade from putting the knife inside the sheath. The sheath also has several small rub marks. The sheath can be put on a belt or lashed down with the other tie down slots. As you may know there where less of this model made than the other Buckmaster model 184. This model 185 Buckmaster is much lighter than the Buckmaster model 184. But only in weight not in strength. This knife is 18 to 21 years old.
