Buckmaster 184 Survival knife is 12-1/2" overall, mint. It has not been sharpened or used. It is marked BUCK 184< U.S.A. PAT. PEND., which means it is an early model before the Patent was issued and may have been made in 1986. It comes with sheath which is also marked PAT. PEND., sharpening stone and leg tie. It comes with sheath, Silva Type 12 compass made in Sweden, sharpening stone and leg tie. The sheath can be put on a belt or lashed down with the other tie down slots. A very heavy duty knife! The Buck 184 knife that does not have Pat. Pend. on the blade is the first variation and then comes the Pat. Pend. which is the second variation made before the patent was given. The third variation, and the last, is the model with the BUCKMASTER PAT.PEND. forged along the center of the blade. Discontinued in 1997.
