Smith & Wesson Survival knife from 1975 with original sheath. It is in excellent plus condition with very light use. The false edge on top and knife edge have been sharpened on the 440 forged stainless steel blade. It has a hollow handle made with a brass cylinder and Wessonwood and includes a brass screw on cap. It is 10-3/16" overall. It is one of the original and first S&W knives which came out in the early 1970's. Later in the 1970's or early 1980's the S&W knives stopped production. Then sometime later in the 1980's S&W knives started again with a different group of knives and a different manufacturer. That group of knives stopped production in the late 1980's. Then S&W knives started production again in the early 1990's and they are still going strong today. A lot of the knives produced today by S&W knives are made over seas but the one below was made in the USA back in 1975.
