Blackjack Mamba with black molly coated blade and leather sheath in the box. The knife has light use with some rubbed places on the blade. It has not been sharpened. The sheath is like the knife and has light use. The knife is better than excellent condition but not near mint. The box is very worn. It is 15" overall and the steel is CS 51 and has a Rockwell of 55-57. The handle is screwed on the blade. There were approx. 3,000 - 4,000 of the full size Mamba's made, beginning in 1987, and ending in 1992. Most were the silver finish blade and about 50 were done with a moly black blade coating like this one. Tom Carey is the developer of a site dedicated to the
history of Blackjack Knives: Blackjack started in early 1987 and the company closed its doors in August of 1997.
