I believe this is a French Bayonet and is the model 1886 for the Label rifle. It is the long cruciform blade and silver color metal handle. There is a small shield with a B inside stamped at the tang near the handle. There is a small shield with a M inside stamped and another B at the end of the handle. Also at the end of the handle is stamped 18 and N and a design like a diamond <>. The scabbard fits properly. The blade is not bent, nicked or shortened. The scabbard has a brown aged patina with rust pitting spots. The handle, guard/lock and blade are tight. The blade is held tightly by the scabbard. Blade length measures just over 20-1/2". Overall length is about 25-1/8". Nice antique collectible.
