Beatles B&W super 8 film of them live at Shea Stadium in New York on August 15,1965. I acquired this film back 1971 or 72 while I was in a film making class. It is about 3 minutes or 50 feet long, in black and white, and shows all four Beatles (George Harrison, John Lennon, Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr) on stage and several close-ups of each musician. Because the film is without sound you can play an early Beatles song while you show this film and you will have a great performance.

Is this a super 8 film of someone filming their TV set when ABC TV broadcast the concert?

No the quality is too high on the film for that type of copying. I have had the film since about 1972. Do not remember exactly where it came from but I was in a film making class back then and we all where using Super 8 to make our movies. I also did most of the film processing for the class in my home made lab. Again the quality is really very high for this film. We only have one and have no copies of the film you will receive if you purchase it.

The Beatles significant concert at Shea Stadium, home of the New York Mets baseball team, was seen by 55,600 fans and created at the time a new world record for a pop concert in terms of attendance and gross revenue. The Beatles traveled by limousine from the Warwick Hotel to a water front heliport. Then flew by helicopter over New York City to the stadium, there they would find a packed house and a deafening wall of screams. The short movie is certainly a remarkable film, capturing not only the intense excitement of this record breaking concert, but also a degree of fan hysteria so fantastic it has to be seen to be believed. It is interesting to see the small amps that they were using on the stage.

The quality is very high on this super 8 film and it is in excellent condition.
