The beer with a snap to it, since 1850. This vintage Heileman Old Style Lager
Letterhead page is old and original. What I mean by old is that there is no telephone
number or zip code on the letterhead. It is after the invention of photography
(1839) because in small type it states "This is an exact reproduction from
a photograph of our office building". I have another letterhead from Heileman and it has a ©1914 and has Phone Number 16 on it. Therefore this
letterhead is probably after 1850 but before 1914. Pre-Prohibition.
I think that Zim’s Distributing Company was from Strawn,
Texas, and owned by M.P. Zimicki. They had additional offices in San Angelo and
Big Spring, Texas. I have been to the old red brick building out side of Strawn
that was their warehouse, according to one of the locals.
Great Beer Ephemera Collectable
The quality of the illustration on this old
letterhead is very high and it is in excellent condition except for the slight
bend in the upper left part of the page. The letterhead
is paper and would have been used to mail a letter to a customer or business.
This is an old distinctive color lithography style letterhead with a watermark.
It is 8˝"X11" and is sleeved in a page protector with cardboard for protection.
