Sterling silver Scrimshaw Ivory Ring with a
sailing ship on the ocean. The ring is marked on the inside of the band
Sterling and AS. On the back of the oval it is marked with a W. It is in
near mint condition and the Scrimshaw is on genuine ivory. The Scrimshaw
is signed in the bottom left as seen in the photo. The ring has an AS mark
and this maybe for Alaskan Silver, and the ivory is Fossil Mastodon. It comes in a gray fine
jewelry display box.
The oval area shown in the photo is about 3/4"
X 5/8". I do not know what finger size it is, but the inside diameter of the
finger area is 5/8". Its a good looking ring and well made! This ring and Scrimshaw may have been made by Alaskan Silver and Ivory Co. a
jewelry company in Bellingham, Washington and I think they are no longer in business. It
was purchase back in the late 1990's.
